The Catcher in the Rye
It's true that I didn't remember the book this way. Maybe I was too young the first time I read it, but certainly there were things I needed to live to fully understand it.However, I didn't quite like it the first time... and still didn't quite like it this one. I feel Holden's pain about some things in society but I'm not as fond about his ego and superiority complex about the rest of them all. Obviously his view about girls and women is too patriarchal but it's not even the worst of it, considering the time context this book was written in.
I kinda get why it's considered a classic, but it's proven that it's not my cup of tea and never will be.
